Community animal health centre approach and its impact on the delivery of animal health services

The present paper documents the effect of Community Animal Health Centres (CAHCs) on accessibility, affordability and quality parameters pertaining to animal health services rendered by them subsequent impact livestock productivity. CAHCs were established in three tribal dominated villages Banka district (Bihar) which operated trained certified local youths. Ex-post-facto approach was adopted study, data collected from randomly selected 120 owners geographic area served CHACs. It found that, as a result CAHCs, average distance travel for seeking has reduced 71.97%; ease access increased 43.96%; timeliness 44.92%; cost each service 79.71% transportation associated with requirements 44.92%. have also resulted reduction mortality among poultry birds goats 19 50%, respectively.
